Capital Markets Associate

Location: Remote

Compensation: $120,000-$140,000 annually

Piper Maddox has been engaged in a search by a top US Solar developer and financier. They are an entrepreneurial company that develops, finances, acquires, and operates Community Solar, Utility, and large-scale C&I Solar projects. This company was recently acquired by a massive corporation with a commitment to long-term renewable energy asset ownership. With these interests aligned and a strong balance sheet, this organization is expected to continue growing and expanding further into key community solar markets across the U.S.

They are looking for a talented Associate of Capital Markets to join their Finance team, to help the continued expansion of their business into new geographies, markets, and technologies. This is an opportunity to join a business where you'll have access to the amazing Senior Management team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in executing third-party capital solutions, including construction and term debt, tax equity, and specialty financing
• Evaluate project acquisitions and M&A opportunities through financial modeling.
• Develop standardized valuation models, ensuring alignment with internal teams for consistency and accuracy.
• Collaborate across teams to maintain accurate corporate assumptions in financial models.

Requirements:

• 2–5 years of experience in clean tech, energy, or related sectors; solar or investment banking experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Math, Finance, Econ, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong financial modeling skills
