Lacrosse Australia is the national governing body for Lacrosse in Australia, overseeing the governance, growth and development of the sport, working with Member Associations and providing High Performance opportunities for athletes, coaches, officials and administrators.

Financial Management
- Manage day-to-day financial operations, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Prepare, monitor, and report on budgets in collaboration with the Director of Finance.
- Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Perform regular bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
- Manage payroll functions, including calculating wages, processing payments, and maintaining employee records.
- Ensure compliance with Australian financial regulations and assist with audit preparations.
Strategic Financial Support
- Support LA’s strategic goals and growth initiatives with financial analysis.
- Provide recommendations for cost optimisation and resource allocation.
- Support grant management, including financial reporting and acquittals for grant-funded activities.
Finance Administration
- Issue school invoices and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Authorise and issue coach payments.
- Provide general administrative support across other areas of the organisation.
Personal Attributes
- Proven experience in financial management, bookkeeping, and similar roles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software Xero and Google Suite.
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of the non-profit or sports sector is an advantage.
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualifications in Bookkeeping or Diploma in Accounting (or higher).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial management, bookkeeping, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of Australian tax regulations, including BAS, GST, and payroll compliance.
- Experience preparing financial reports and managing budgets.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
Desirable/Nice to Haves
- Experience in the non-profit, sports, or member-based organisation sectors.
- Familiarity with financial management in grant-funded environments.
- Knowledge of or interest in lacrosse or other sports administration.
- Experience in supporting general administrative functions.
Additional Requirements
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency with the ability to work in Australia.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a satisfactory National Police Check and Working with Children clearance.
