Our client are seeking a Head of Regional Marketing for Growth Markets, this position is responsible for leading and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, demand generation, and revenue growth across APAC and EMEA emerging markets. This role involves developing tailored marketing plans for diverse regions with varied market maturity, collaborating with the global marketing team, regional sales, sales development representatives and product marketing teams, managing budgets, and leveraging data-driven insights to optimize marketing performance and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities and OutputsResponsibilities:Regional Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement regional marketing strategies that position the company as a thought leader and innovator in education technology while driving business growth goals.
- Define and oversee the execution of marketing plans for growth markets across APAC and EMEA, focusing on demand generation and market penetration.
- Leverage strategic market insights to inform regional marketing approaches.
Campaign Development and Activation:
- Lead the creation and execution of integrated marketing campaigns tailored to emerging markets, leveraging global themes and toolkits.
- Ensure regional content and messaging resonate with local audiences, utilizing a multi-channel approach including digital marketing, events, email campaigns, and social media.
- Collaborate with the digital marketing team to refine regional digital marketing efforts, including SEO, SEM, social media, and content marketing.
- Monitor and optimize campaign performance to maximize reach, engagement, and pipeline contribution.
Sales and Marketing Alignment:
- Partner closely with regional sales leadership and to ensure marketing strategies drive lead generation and pipeline development.
- Provide sales teams with localized tools, content, and training for effective engagement with prospects and customers.
- Coordinate with global marketing teams to leverage predefined campaigns and toolkits, adapting them for growth markets.
- Ensure consistent application of brand guidelines across all regional marketing materials.
Budget Management:
- Develop, manage, and optimize the regional marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize ROI.
- Provide regular reporting on budget utilization and campaign effectiveness.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Establish KPIs and track performance metrics for regional marketing campaigns.
- Lead the preparation of reports on campaign performance, market trends, and ROI for senior leadership.
- Use data-driven insights to continuously refine and optimize marketing strategies.
Customer Advocacy and Thought Leadership:
- Oversee the regional customer advocacy programs, leveraging customer success stories to build brand loyalty.
- Promote the company’s thought leadership through strategic content, public speaking engagements, and industry events.
Market and Competitive Analysis:
- Develop a framework for gathering and analyzing insights on industry trends, the competitive landscape, and emerging technologies.
- Utilize competitive analysis to assess regional market positioning and refine strategies accordingly.
Innovation and Best Practices:
- Drive continuous innovation in marketing strategies tailored for growth markets.
- Share regional insights and successful tactics with global marketing teams.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a regional marketing team across APAC and EMEA, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Set clear performance goals and support professional development.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 6+ years of progressive experience in marketing roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity within the education technology or related industry sector
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful regional and/or multi territory marketing strategies from both a demand gen and customer lifecycle marketing perspective.
- Experience in managing and coaching a marketing team - preferably a globally diverse team
- In depth understanding of the education technology landscape, including trends, challenges and opportunities preferably within EMEA and/or APAC region
- Strong digital marketing expertise
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate market insights into actionable plans
- Experience in managing and mentoring marketing teams
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across cross functional teams and work within a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Proficiency in marketing analytics and data driven decision making
