ABOUT US

The Hippie Shake is an online brand/retailer based in London with a worldwide customer base.

Started back in 2015 by husband & wife duo Naomi & Ben as an online vintage outlet, the brand quickly developed and began creating its own vintage inspired collections taking inspiration from the fashion, icons and music of the 60s/70s.

The brand grew rapidly during and post pandemic, however in July 2023, Naomi & Ben made the decision to close the first chapter of the brand and take an extended break to prioritize their well-being and rekindle the passion that sparked The Hippie Shake in the first place.

After a short hiatus, we’re gearing up for an exciting relaunch at the end of May and looking for a Freelance Social Media Manager / Content Creator to help us create engaging content, grow and nurture our existing community + take ownership of our social media strategy.

THE ROLE

We need an experienced social media expert to work closely with us focusing on:

• Content Strategy & Planning – Creating highly engaging social-first content that embodies our brand aesthetic.

• Social Media Management – Running our Instagram & TikTok, scheduling posts, and keeping engagement high.

• Community Growth & Engagement – Managing DMs, comments & fostering an engaged, like-minded audience.

• Short-Form Video Content – Comfortable working with TikTok trends & Instagram Reels to drive visibility.

• Analytics & Optimisation – Monitoring performance, identifying trends & adjusting strategy to maximise reach.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

• Someone who “gets” our brand and vision.

• Proven experience managing social media for a fashion, lifestyle, or creative brand.

• Confident in creating TikTok & Reels, understanding trends & what performs best.

• A natural storyteller – skilled in crafting engaging captions & visuals.

• Able to work independently, but excited to collaborate with our founders.

• Experienced with Adobe platforms inc. Photoshop

• Experienced with different video editing tools

ABOUT THE ROLE:

• Freelance role (Remote, but London based preferred for content creation purposes)

• Flexible working days per month – to be discussed
