We are looking for a Digital Marketing & Merchandising Specialist to help plan, create, and execute email marketing campaigns while optimizing on-site merchandising to showcase featured products. This role will involve sourcing content from vendor marketing materials, adapting them for our customers, and ensuring all promoted products are sellable on our website. Over time, this role will also take on day-to-day online advertising management, collaborating with our ad agency to launch and optimize new campaigns. Key ResponsibilitiesEmail Marketing & Customer Engagement

  • Plan and execute email marketing campaigns that keep customers engaged and drive sales.
  • Source and adapt marketing content from vendor email campaigns, ensuring relevance and alignment with our brand.
  • Write compelling email copy, design layouts, and schedule campaigns for optimal performance.
  • Segment email lists to target contractors, trade professionals, and other key customer groups effectively.
  • Track open rates, click-through rates, and conversion metrics, making data-driven adjustments to improve results.

Ecommerce Merchandising & Product Optimization

  • Ensure that all products featured in email campaigns are available for sale and correctly displayed on the website.
  • Create on-site merchandising assets, including banners, category highlights, and featured product sections.
  • Work within BigCommerce to optimize product pages, descriptions, and collections based on campaign priorities.
  • Analyze sales data and customer trends to improve merchandising and increase conversion rates.

Advertising & Promotions Management (Future Growth Area)

  • Collaborate with our ad agency to launch and optimize digital ad campaigns (Google Ads, PMAX, retargeting, etc.).
  • Manage and adjust ad creatives, landing pages, and product promotions for maximum performance.
  • Track ad spend ROI, ensuring campaigns are cost-effective and aligned with business goals.

Content Sourcing & Marketing Asset Creation

  • Work with vendors to obtain new product marketing materials, promotions, and images.
  • Customize vendor-supplied content to fit our audience and marketing objectives.
  • Maintain a content calendar for marketing promotions and new product launches.

Performance Tracking & Optimization

  • Monitor email engagement, sales trends, and website traffic to measure the impact of campaigns.
  • Provide regular reports on marketing performance and suggest areas for improvement.
  • Conduct A/B testing on email subject lines, layouts, and content to improve effectiveness.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in digital marketing, email marketing, or eCommerce merchandising.
  • Strong experience with email marketing platforms (Klaviyo, Zoho Marketing Automation, Mailchimp, etc.).
  • Familiarity with eCommerce platforms (BigCommerce, Shopify, Magento, or WooCommerce).
  • Basic knowledge of graphic design tools (Canva, Photoshop, Figma) to create marketing assets.
  • Strong understanding of digital advertising, SEO, and paid media campaigns (Google Ads, Facebook Ads, etc.).
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and sourcing marketing materials is a plus.
  • Data-driven mindset with proficiency in analytics tools (Google Analytics, email reporting, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and copywriting skills.
