Job Description

ABOUT US

We are a growing eCommerce brand primarily selling through Amazon across the US, UK, Australia, and Canada. The company is founder-led and focused on building high-quality products while maintaining efficient operations and supply chains.

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for a Supply Chain & Amazon Operations Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day operations of the business across inventory planning, international shipments, and marketplace coordination.

This role oversees the operational flow of inventory from suppliers through to Amazon fulfillment centers and ensures that stock levels, shipments, and operational processes are running smoothly across multiple marketplaces.

You will work closely with suppliers, freight partners, and the founder to maintain reliable supply chain execution and strong operational control. You should be comfortable making inventory decisions that directly impact revenue and stock availability.

The role is fully remote and suited to someone who enjoys managing systems, solving operational challenges, and improving processes in a fast-moving eCommerce environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITESInventory Planning & Forecasting

  • Manage forward inventory planning across multiple marketplaces
  • Monitor sales trends and stock levels to ensure timely replenishment
  • Identify potential stock risks and coordinate mitigation plans
  • Maintain visibility of inventory across FBA, 3PL, and in-transit shipments

International Shipments

  • Manage shipments from suppliers to Amazon fulfillment centers
  • Coordinate inspections and freight bookings with logistics partners
  • Review shipment documentation including invoices, packing lists, and product data
  • Create and manage FBA shipment plans within Seller Central

Customs & Inventory Coordination

  • Review shipment documentation for accuracy
  • Coordinate inbound shipments with third-party logistics providers
  • Oversee inventory reconciliation across fulfillment locations and in-transit inventory

Marketplace Operations

  • Monitor operational alerts and issues within Amazon Seller Central
  • Resolve inventory or listing-related operational issues when they arise
  • Maintain product data, operational documentation, and shipment records

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Hands-on experience managing shipments or inventory planning within Amazon Seller Central.
  • Familiarity with Amazon FBA shipments or inventory management
  • Experience working with spreadsheets (Excel and/or Google Sheets)
  • Strong written communication skills in English
  • Ability to work independently and manage operational tasks

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Experience supporting multiple Amazon marketplaces
  • Experience forecasting inventory based on sales velocity and supplier lead times.
  • Familiarity with operational processes for eCommerce businesses
  • Familiarity with exporting goods from China

This role works closely with the founder and offers the opportunity to take increasing ownership of operational systems and processes as the business continues to grow.

This role is suited to someone comfortable taking ownership of operational systems rather than performing task-based virtual assistant work.

SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE

  • Inventory stays within target stock levels
  • Shipments move smoothly from suppliers to FBA
  • Stockouts are prevented through proactive planning

This is a fully remote independent contractor role.

We are open to applicants globally, particularly across Asia-Pacific time zones with at least 2 hours overlap with AEST business hours.

Salary: $800–$1,400 USD per month depending on experience.

Please briefly describe a shipment or inventory planning decision you managed for an Amazon business and how you determined reorder timing or quantity.
