Position: Generalist Video Captioning Expert – AI Research Contributor

Compensation: $45.5/hour

Location: Remote

Duration: 10–40 hrs/week

Requirements

• Experience in one or more of the following roles: movie producer, film editor, screenwriter, archivist, film writer, video-tagging specialist, media analyst, or generalist content annotator
• Strong analytical judgment in deciding which attributes best describe a clip and how to express subtle narrative cues
• Attention to detail and the ability to document findings clearly and concisely for downstream reviewers
• Ability to excel in multi-round, collaborative review cycles
• Quick to adapt and follow precise instructions, adopting new taxonomies and annotation schemes
• Good written and verbal communication skills

Role

• Watch videos and generate concise, yet nuanced, annotations covering subjects, objects, environments, audio cues, temporal flow, mood, and storytelling elements
• Apply your analytical skills to decide which attributes best describe each video clip
• Collaborate with the project team to refine processes and ensure accurate, high-quality video annotations
• Follow linguistic, timing, or stylistic guidelines as provided by the research team
