As a Senior Director within Beckway’s Talent Finders practice, you will partner directly with our Executive Search Associates and Directors to manage and execute search engagements for Private Equity clients and their portfolio companies. You will lead multiple retained and contingent search assignments simultaneously and own the full search life cycle—from developing search strategy to candidate assessment, client communication, and delivery.
You will also contribute to business development by supporting proposal creation and making introductions that lead to new opportunities. As part of a collaborative, fast-paced team, you’ll have substantial opportunity for professional development and impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support retained and contingent executive search engagements, owning full-cycle recruitment and client communication.
- Develop search strategy for each engagement.
- Craft market-facing company profiles and job specifications, including key role tasks, success metrics, and candidate requirements.
- Conduct market, company, and candidate research; build accurate target lists and identify competitive dynamics.
- Perform in-depth candidate interviews; assess, compare, and select candidates against evaluation criteria; reference and close candidates; support their integration.
- Produce search status reports and lead client update calls.
- Review and support development of PowerPoint materials for client proposals.
- Leverage Invenias (executive search CRM) at an expert level to capture detailed interview notes and track search progress.
- Collaborate internally to improve database maintenance, process efficiency, and search quality.
- Build strong relationships with Private Equity firms and their portfolio companies to drive high individual performance.
- Develop and execute against an individual workplan.
- Support new business pursuits through proposal support and research.
- Contribute to pitch materials, marketing content, and search agreements to support business development.
- Maintain and grow key relationships within the Private Equity ecosystem.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (4-year degree required).
- 10–15+ years of relevant industry experience; minimum 2+ years of success in agency and/or corporate recruitment.
- Demonstrated experience generating new business and contributing meaningfully to business development efforts.
- Proven full-cycle recruiter with experience placing C-level and senior executive positions.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent searches effectively.
- Strong track record of executing to results and exceeding expectations.
- High autonomy with ability to lead, train, and mentor remotely.
- Strong judgment and ability to synthesize information quickly and deeply.
- Excellent communication skills; able to adapt style to executive audiences.
- Expert written skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Exceptional client service, relationship building, and interpersonal skills.
