We're looking for experienced health data governance leaders to help ensure that the hospital data used in cutting-edge AI development is accurate, trusted, compliant, and clinically meaningful. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. You'll work at the intersection of healthcare data integrity and advanced AI — bringing your real-world experience in clinical data, compliance, and governance frameworks to projects that matter.

What You'll Do

• Define and enforce data governance standards that ensure hospital health records are accurate, consistent, and secure
• Evaluate and improve the quality of healthcare data inputs used in AI model training and evaluation
• Review clinical and operational data workflows to identify gaps in governance, compliance, or data integrity
• Work across clinical, IT, and compliance domains to assess and align data policies and classification frameworks
• Assess data readiness for analytical, regulatory, and AI-specific use cases
• Provide structured, expert feedback on data quality, governance maturity, and risk exposure
• Complete task-based assignments independently on your own schedule

Who You Are

• Experienced in healthcare data governance, clinical data management, or health data operations
• Deep understanding of healthcare privacy, compliance, and regulatory frameworks — including HIPAA
• Able to think critically across clinical, technical, and administrative data domains
• Sharp eye for data quality issues — you notice inconsistencies, gaps, and risks others miss
• Clear and structured communicator who can document findings and recommendations effectively
• Self-motivated and reliable when working independently in a remote, asynchronous environment

Nice to Have

• Prior experience with data annotation, data quality evaluation, or AI training workflows
• Background in health informatics, clinical informatics, or electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK or HITRUST
• Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders across hospital or health system environments
• Knowledge of coding systems such as ICD-10, SNOMED, or HL7/FHIR standards
