Job Description

Posted on: October 12, 2025

Founded in 2017, Trust & Will is the leading digital estate planning platform, trusted by over one million users. We provide modern, accessible solutions to help families protect their legacies with attorney-approved, legally valid documents tailored to individual state requirements. Our seamless online platform simplifies the estate planning and settlement process, empowering individuals to create wills and trusts while also partnering with financial advisors, attorneys, and institutions to make legacy planning more inclusive and affordable. At the heart of our success is financial discipline and forward-looking insight—not just reporting numbers, but driving real business impact by connecting operational plans to financial outcomes. We're looking for a Senior Financial Analyst who is excited to partner across the business and continue developing our financial planning capabilities. You'll work closely with Sales, Marketing, Data, and other teams to keep forecasts current, provide timely analysis, and surface insights that drive smarter decisions. If you thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy turning ambiguity into clarity, and want to shape how our company scales its financial planning discipline, this is the role for you. About You: You bridge finance and the business with clarity and discipline. You're comfortable leading forecasts across functions, producing crisp reporting, and explaining results in ways that drive action. You thrive in ambiguity, build reliable processes, and partner closely with stakeholders to deliver meaningful outcomes. About the Role: This role is central to our FP&A team, supporting leaders with forecasting, variance analysis, and reporting while helping maintain the company-level model. Beyond producing forecasts, you'll improve how FP&A operates—making our processes more accurate, efficient, and impactful, and surfacing insights that guide smarter decisions. What You'll Do:

  • Drive department forecasting & reporting in partnership with business leaders.
  • Maintain and improve the company-level forecast alongside finance leadership.
  • Perform budget vs. actuals and variance analysis, surfacing insights that explain results and guide actions.
  • Monitor departmental P&L performance and partner with leaders to stay accountable to financial goals.
  • Conduct analysis of core metrics such as ARPU, LTV, ARR, CAC, and retention metrics to guide investment and growth decisions.
  • Identify cost efficiencies and resource optimization opportunities.
  • Deliver polished reporting and presentations that translate business activities into financial impact and drive decisions at the executive level.
  • Build financial models and scenario analyses to evaluate trade-offs and support long-term planning and priorities.
  • Strengthen FP&A processes through scalable, repeatable workflows, including automation and AI-driven solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in Finance, Economics, Statistics or related field.
  • 4–6+ years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or related finance roles.
  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills.
  • Comfortable with driver-based forecasting and building/maintaining models.
  • Solid understanding of P&L structure, variance analysis, and financial statement linkages.
  • Strong communicator and storyteller: able to simplify analysis into clear, actionable takeaways.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy, reliability, and repeatable processes.
  • Proven ability to partner with stakeholders, influence decisions, and balance collaboration with financial discipline.
  • Comfortable leveraging AI tools to accelerate analysis and automate workflows.

Bonus Points for:

  • Experience in SaaS, fintech, or venture-backed growth companies.
  • Exposure to BI tools (e.g., ThoughtSpot, Looker, Tableau) or SQL for pulling/cleaning data.
  • Experience supporting Sales/Marketing functions in prior FP&A roles.
  • Interest in building finance processes and reporting foundations at a scaling company.
  • A Passion for legacy planning, fintech, or mission-driven work.
