Role Overview
We’re seeking a Full-Stack Engineer with a strong front-end skill set and an eye for design to join our expanding team. You will collaborate closely with our founders—both software engineers—and contribute to various client projects and internal initiatives. You’ll have the opportunity to work across the stack, with an emphasis on crafting user-friendly, elegant interfaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Front-End Development: Build performant, scalable front-end applications using React, NextJS, Typescript, HTML, and CSS.
- Back-End Development: Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and services primarily using Python (FastAPI), with occasional work in Node.js.
- Database Management: Work with Postgres and Supabase to design and optimise database schemas and queries.
- Cloud & DevOps: Deploy, monitor, and manage applications using AWS, Vercel, Cloudflare, Terraform, and GitHub Actions.
- Collaboration: Engage with non-technical stakeholders, gather requirements, and translate them into technical implementations.
- Design & Prototyping: Contribute to user experience design, leveraging Figma and Adobe Creative Suite for rapid prototyping.
- Quality & Best Practices: Write clean, maintainable, and testable code; participate in code reviews to uphold high-quality standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years of commercial experience as a software engineer.
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong experience with Javascript, React, Typescript, and functional programming patterns.
- Solid proficiency with Python for REST API design, object-oriented programming, and working with databases.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively with non-technical stakeholders.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience in professional services
- UX/UI design skills and a portfolio demonstrating user-centric design.
- Mobile development (Swift for iOS / Android).
- Understanding of Information Security practices.
