This is a remote position.

Southland Organics is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Chat Support Clerk to join our Environmental Services team. This role plays a vital part in delivering timely, accurate, and friendly support to our clients and partners through live chat communication. Location: United States (Remote) Key Objectives

  • Provide prompt and professional assistance to customers via chat platforms.
  • Resolve inquiries related to our environmental services and products efficiently.
  • Support the team by documenting customer interactions and escalating issues when necessary.
  • Maintain a positive and solution-oriented communication style that reflects Southland Organics’ values.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer inquiries through live chat in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Assist customers with questions about our organic waste management and recycling services.
  • Identify and troubleshoot basic service issues, escalating complex cases to appropriate departments.
  • Update and maintain accurate records of customer interactions in the CRM system.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent and accurate information is provided.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by providing feedback on common customer concerns and service enhancements.

Requirements Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in environmental studies or customer service is a plus.
  • Proven experience in a customer support role, preferably in chat or digital communication.
  • Strong written communication skills with an ability to convey information clearly and professionally.
  • Basic knowledge of environmental services or a willingness to learn about organic waste management.
  • Comfortable using CRM software and chat support tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Flexible, team-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service
