RxParadigm is seeking an experienced and strategic part-time Finance Director to lead the financial operations of our organization. The Finance Director will oversee all aspects of financial management, including financial reporting, audit and tax preparation, cash flow management, and strategic planning. This role requires a hands-on leader with a strong background in financial analysis, cost accounting, system implementation, and capital raising. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of improving financial performance and guiding business growth through data-driven insights and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee all audit and tax preparation activities, acting as the primary liaison with external auditors and tax advisors.
2. Cash Flow & Financial Planning
- Develop and maintain detailed cash flow forecasts to ensure liquidity and optimal working capital management.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
3. Cost Accounting & Financial Analysis
- Oversee cost accounting processes to analyze product and service costs, identify inefficiencies, and drive profitability.
- Implement processes to track and manage cost structures, ensuring alignment with business goals.
4. System Implementation & Process Improvement
- Lead the implementation of financial systems and tools to improve reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls and financial processes.
5. Strategic Capital Management & Fundraising
- Develop and execute capital-raising strategies to support business growth and strategic investments.
- Build and maintain relationships with banks, investors, and financial partners.
6. Performance Monitoring & KPIs
- Define, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure financial and operational performance.
- Develop actionable insights and strategies to improve financial health and business outcomes.
7. Business Partnering & Leadership
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the executive team on financial matters and business strategy.
- Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Support decision-making related to market expansion, mergers and acquisitions, and new business opportunities.
8. Financial Oversight of Placements
- Oversee financial analysis and reporting related to business placements and investments.
- Ensure alignment of placement strategies with financial goals and risk management policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
- 8+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting leadership roles.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial planning, and strategic analysis.
- Experience with system implementation and financial process automation.
- Proven track record in capital raising and investor relations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- High level of analytical and strategic thinking.
