About the role
This position is at a tech company. We are looking for a creative and experienced Senior Manager, HR Operations to oversee and scale our HR operations in a rapidly developing, mission-driven business. This key leadership job will help to establish the foundation of our HR systems, processes, and compliance, therefore supporting our aim of driving innovation in defense, government, and critical infrastructure sectors.
Responsibilities
HR Operations & Compliance
- Manage HR systems, KPIs, pay schemes, US benefit administration, and compliance.
- Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and executing applicable federal and state HR legislation and best practices, as well as supporting corporate and cultural objectives.
- Utilize data and metrics to inform decision-making and continual process improvement.
- Create and implement scalable HR solutions to help organizations expand and meet changing business demands.
Organizational Effectiveness & HR Analytics
- Create and manage HR dashboards that use analytics to monitor HR performance, increase organizational effectiveness, and drive long-term HR goals.
- Collaborate with senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders to create and simplify processes, using AI and technology to boost efficiency and decrease administrative constraints.
- Drive policy and procedure adoption throughout the business through change management activities pertaining to HR operations.
- Provide the HR team with coaching and change management help in the areas of system optimization and process efficiency.
Culture & Team Development
- Create a high-performing, inclusive, and responsible remote-first culture that is consistent with our purpose of advancing mission-critical work in Defense, Intelligence, Security, and Critical Infrastructure companies.
- Encourage global workforce growth and development by supporting a competent team across several geographies.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a comparable subject.
- 8-10 years of progressive HR operations expertise, with a track record of growing HR services in businesses with 500-1,000 people.
- Advanced knowledge of HRIS systems, HR IT platforms, and Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong understanding of HR compliance and employment legislation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Worked at mission-driven enterprises that focused on defense, intelligence, security, or critical infrastructure.
- Ability to use AI and technology to optimize HR operations and increase efficiency.
- Strategic thinking combined with a proven ability to perform in fast-paced, dynamic circumstances.

Pay: $145k to $160k annually.
