Pashion is a profitable growth startup based in California that is breaking out in the footwear industry with our empowerment-focused brand and disruptive product. We are expanding our team and are looking for a creative, charismatic Social Media Specialist to join us and own our social presence.
This role will report directly to Pashion's Brand Experience Manager, and work collaboratively with our Acquisition Marketing Manager and Senior Content Manager. This job is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, social & creative environment, is comfortable creating content & being a social spokesperson for the brand, and has a genuine passion for our mission. This is a remote position (as we are a fully remote team) so you can be based anywhere in the US - we care most that you are a driven self-starter, love the product and the brand, are a great culture fit, and are always ready for a challenge. You also must like startup culture, fashion ecommerce, and be a total high heel fanatic - of course.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own the day-to-day management of our primary social media platforms—Instagram (main & bridal accounts) and TikTok—while maintaining strategic oversight & management of YouTube, Pinterest, and Facebook accounts
- Be the voice of Pashion on social—writing compelling copy, engaging with our community in the comments and DMs, and representing our brand authentically across all channels
- Create and execute a robust cross-platform social content strategy, including ownership of the monthly social content calendar, researching optimal posting times, hashtags, and staying up-to-date on platform best practices and algorithm changes
- Be a content creator—filming product content, conceptualizing UGC assets, and serving as a brand spokesperson & UGC creator yourself (yes, we want you making content!)
- Handle content editing and production—leveraging design tools (Canva, Adobe suite) to create stunning graphics and stills, and video editing tools to produce polished Reels, TikTok videos, and other social assets
- Coordinate with our Creative and Content teams, submitting your created assets to our Senior Content Manager for approval and collaborating on campaign executions
- Drive community engagement and loyalty by managing giveaways, running polling campaigns, posting in our Broadcast Channel, and fostering genuine connections with our customers
- Monitor and report on social media analytics and KPIs, ensuring your strategy is data-informed and continuously optimized
- Assist with our Ambassador and Community programs—helping facilitate UGC competitions within our ambassador community and executing community-driven initiatives
- Source potential influencer collaborations by identifying relevant creators, doing thoughtful cold outreach via DMs, and passing promising partners to our Acquisition Marketing Manager for partnership development
- Work collaboratively with the Brand Experience Manager to ensure all social efforts align with our broader brand campaigns and touchpoint strategy
- Maintain a cohesive, on-brand aesthetic across all platforms while staying authentic to Pashion's voice and values

- Relentlessly driven to learn platform updates, emerging tools, and industry best practices - always improving, & staying ahead of the curve
- Collaborative—you work well cross-functionally with Creative, Content, Marketing, and Community teams
- Passionate about Pashion's mission and our product
REQUIREMENTS:
- 1-2 years of experience in social media management (AND/OR a strong portfolio demonstrating social media excellence)
- Demonstrated expertise creating content for Instagram and TikTok
- Experience with content editing tools—Canva mandatory, Adobe Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop) preferred
- Comfortable appearing on camera and creating UGC/video content
- Strong copywriting and brand voice alignment skills
- Experience managing social media comments, DMs, and community engagement
- Experience researching and implementing platform best practices, hashtags, posting strategies, and analytics
- Proficiency with social media analytics platforms and KPI tracking
- Familiarity with video editing and graphic design
- Experience with Instagram and TikTok creator tools is a plus
- A portfolio of social media content you've created (posts, Reels, TikTok videos, graphics, etc.)—this matters more to us than your resume
NICE-TO-HAVES:
- Experience with link-in-bio tools or landing page builders
- Experience facilitating UGC or community competitions
- Familiarity with influencer sourcing or outreach
- Knowledge of the fashion, footwear, or beauty industries
- Experience with emerging social platforms (BeReal, Threads, etc.)
KPIS
- Instagram follower growth (main + bridal accounts)
- TikTok follower growth & video views
- Engagement rate (likes, comments, shares) across platforms
- Click-through rate to website from social
- Community sentiment & brand voice consistency
- Number of high-performing content pieces created per month
- Analytics-driven improvements to posting strategy & content mix
