Position:Vue Js Developer

Duration: 20 Weeks

Compensation: Unpaid (with potential for paid employment)

This is an unpaid internship that will run for 20 weeks. During this period, you will gain valuable experience in frontend Developing and contribute to meaningful projects.

This internship is unpaid. However, based on your performance and the successful acquisition of company funding, there is the potential for this role to transition into a paid position after the internship period. At the end of the 16 weeks, candidates who demonstrate exceptional performance will receive a pre-agreement, with payment commencing upon securing funding.

Overview:

Paramount Students by Plentora is building the future of global student mobility. We are creating a digital ecosystem that connects students with high schools, universities, and verified education services, making the international study journey seamless, accessible, and community-driven.

We are seeking a Senior Vue.js Developer with strong experience in TailwindCSS to lead the development of our front-end interface.

In this leadership volunteer role, you’ll play a crucial part in crafting a user-friendly, accessible, and visually compelling web experience for students and institutions across the globe.

This is a volunteer, unpaid opportunity for experienced professionals who want to build something meaningful from the ground up. Top performers will be considered for future paid positions and equity options after our upcoming funding round.

Responsibilities:

  • Front-End Development: Build elegant and responsive interfaces using Vue.js (preferably Vue 3 + Composition API) and TailwindCSS.
  • Design Collaboration: Work closely with designers to translate Figma designs into pixel-perfect components while maintaining accessibility and responsiveness.
  • Component Architecture: Architect scalable and reusable components, ensuring maintainability and performance.
  • API Integration: Connect with backend APIs (REST/GraphQL) to display dynamic content and manage user interaction flows.
  • State Management: Implement robust state management solutions using Pinia or Vuex where needed.
  • Mentorship: Support junior frontend developers, perform code reviews, and help foster clean coding practices across the team.
  • Testing: Write unit and end-to-end tests (Jest, Cypress) to ensure UI quality and reliability.
  • UX Improvements: Optimize frontend performance and implement best practices to improve user experience across different browsers and devices.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear documentation for components, logic, and architecture decisions.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of professional experience with Vue.js (Vue 2 or Vue 3), JavaScript, and TypeScript.
  • Strong hands-on experience using TailwindCSS for responsive and accessible UI.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, error handling, and asynchronous data fetching patterns.
  • Deep understanding of component-based architecture and best practices.
  • Solid experience with Git, Agile workflows, and remote collaboration tools (GitHub, Jira, Notion).
  • Experience working in a startup, edtech, or high-growth product environment is a strong plus.
  • Good eye for design and attention to UI/UX detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to lead within a distributed team.
