FX Trading Functional Test Engineer Remote

Global Investment Bank seek an experienced Functional Tester with strong exposure to the Foreign Exchange (FX) domain to support a complex, high-profile FX technology programme. This is a fully remote contract working within a fast-paced Agile environment alongside Product Owners, Development, and DevOps teams.

If you have hands-on experience across FX pricing and distribution flows, this could be an excellent fit.

🔍 Role Overview

You will be responsible for validating end-to-end FX workflows across pricing engines, liquidity providers, aggregation layers, and downstream distribution platforms. The role requires strong functional testing expertise combined with solid FX product knowledge.

✅ Mandatory Skills & Experience

Strong working knowledge of:

• FX Spot, Forward, and Swap products

• FX pricing concepts (bid/ask, spreads, markups, streaming prices)

• Liquidity providers (LPs) and aggregation

• STP (Straight Through Processing) flows

• Full trade lifecycle (order → execution → confirmation → settlement)

• Basic FIX protocol understanding (preferred)

• Pricing engine and/or distribution platform testing

🧠 Agile Experience (Essential)

• Proven experience in Scrum/Agile teams

• Sprint planning, backlog refinement, grooming

• Writing and reviewing user stories & acceptance criteria

• Strong understanding of Definition of Done (DoD)

• Shift-left testing approach

• Exposure to CI/CD environments (desirable)

🛠 Test Management & Tools

Hands-on experience with at least one of:

• JIRA

• Xray

• Zephyr

• HP ALM / Quality Center

Must demonstrate:

• Test case and scenario creation

• Requirement traceability

• Defect lifecycle management

• Test reporting and metrics

💾 SQL (Mandatory - Basic Level)

• Write basic SQL queries

• Validate trade data in databases

• Perform backend data validation

• Join tables and analyse pricing/trade data

⭐ Desirable Experience

• Multi-dealer platforms (e.g., 360T, FXAll, Bloomberg FXGO)

• Single-dealer platforms

• Auto-hedging concepts

• Aggregation pools

• Market data validation
