Their innovative portfolio focuses on molecular diagnostics, infectious disease quality controls, microbiology reference materials, and R&D products that help diagnostic manufacturers and laboratories advance testing accuracy and reliability.
They are now looking for a commercially driven Sales Manager to lead growth across the UK, Ireland, and Nordics region. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in life sciences or diagnostics sales who thrives on building strategic customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and driving sustainable revenue growth within the molecular diagnostics and infectious disease markets.
Sales Manager – UK&I & Nordics
📍 UK-Based | Home-Based with Regional Travel
What You’ll Be Doing
- Take full ownership of the UK&I and Nordics territory and become the lead contact for the infectious disease diagnostics portfolio
- Drive sustainable year-on-year revenue growth through strategic account development and new business acquisition
- Build and manage relationships with molecular diagnostic assay developers, diagnostic manufacturers, pharma, and biopharma customers
- Develop and strengthen distributor partnerships while identifying channel gaps and growth opportunities
- Collaborate closely with commercial, technical, product management, legal, and marketing teams across EMEA and the US
- Create proposals, quotations, RFP/RFQ responses, and negotiate customer agreements
- Conduct customer meetings via phone, email, MS Teams, conferences, and on-site visits
- Deliver strategic market analysis and identify emerging applications, customer segments, and growth areas
- Represent technical capabilities and communicate complex scientific solutions effectively to customers
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity, feeding insights back into the business
What They’re Looking For
- Degree or Master’s in Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, or similar
- 5-10+ years of experience in sales, business development, or commercial roles within life sciences or diagnostics
- Additional laboratory or clinical diagnostics experience is highly advantageous
- Strong network within diagnostic manufacturers, molecular diagnostics, or pharma R&D environments
- Proven ability to manage complex customer relationships and commercial projects
- Strong commercial mindset with excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Experience working cross-functionally with technical and business stakeholders
- Highly organised with excellent time management and attention to detail
- Comfortable with frequent travel across the UK&I and Nordics region
- Additional European languages would be beneficial
