Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and planning for new branding projects, including reviewing client materials, performing competitive audits, and identifying insights and opportunities to help shape creative direction.
  • Create positioning recommendations, value propositions, brand pillars, personalities, tone of voice guidelines, and language principles.
  • Write headlines, taglines and key brand messages.
  • Collaborate on visual direction and concept development with the Creative Director and design team.
  • Prepare and present strategic concepts and messaging to clients with clarity and confidence.
  • Write copy for websites, packaging, taglines, campaigns, social media, and brand guideline documents.
  • Contribute to Lustre’s own marketing efforts including case studies and social media posts.
  • Provide light eCommerce UX insight to ensure strategy and user behavior work together.
  • Maintain clear communication with clients and your team through calls, Slack, and Asana.
  • Have fun, collaborate across disciplines, and speak up whenever you need support.

We’re Looking For Someone Who

  • Has 4-8 years of agency experience in B2C brand strategy, messaging, copywriting, or similar strategic roles (this is a requirement).
  • Loves developing brand stories and bringing clarity to complex ideas through strategic frameworks.
  • Is a strong writer who can shift between conceptual thinking and polished execution.
  • Is curious about consumer psychology, category dynamics, and cultural trends.
  • Pays close attention to detail and is proactive in solving problems before they arise.
  • Enjoys working remotely but thrives in collaborative environments.
  • Is comfortable presenting to clients and guiding discussions with confidence and warmth.

A's To Your Q's

  • What type of direction will I receive? You’ll partner closely with our Creative Directors to understand each client’s goals and strategic landscape. We’ll show you the ropes, collaborate on strategic frameworks, and support you while also giving you the autonomy to lead your portion of the work.
  • What type of projects will I work on? Mostly branding projects for elevated consumer brands across a variety of industries such as home, fashion, wellness, lifestyle, and CPG. You’ll work on everything from early-stage startups to established global brands.
  • How does the team communicate? We have team calls throughout the week, and otherwise collaborate via Slack and Asana for daily check-ins, reviews, and project flow. Before any project kicks off, we always have a collaborative planning session so the team is aligned on strategy and goals.
  • Who will I work with on a daily basis? You’ll work hand-in-hand with the Creative Directors and Senior Designers. You’ll also join client calls and lead the strategy conversation with support from the team.
  • Where do I work from? Remotely.
  • When do I work? Normal business hours Monday–Friday. We’re very organized and respectful of work/life balance.
