Part-Time Social Media Manager and Content Creator

We're hiring a part-time social media manager / content creator

Leo (tryleo.ai) uses cutting-edge AI to convert images of historical manuscripts into plain, searchable text. Our mascot is a bumbling but wildly enthusiastic palaeographer and we want to build his legend. We’re looking for someone to help us make Leo a chaotic internet darling and grow our presence on X / Bluesky. 

Gig:

• Part-time ($25/hr | ~40 hrs, $1000 / month)
• Flexible hours, async workflow, completely remote
• High trust, low micromanagement, lots of room for creative input

You must: 

• Have genuine interest in history, manuscript culture and/or digital humanities
• Be able to write in a tone that’s smart, funny, and occasionally unhinged (think @theMERL / @duolingo) 
• Know how to create memes, posts, and short-form content that people actually engage with
• Have experience managing social media accounts, whether for a brand, org, or personal project

Bonus points:

• Experience with archival research
