Job Title: Business Development Manager – Recruiting Services
Location: Remote (U.S. ONLY)
Position Type: This is a 1099 contractor position, compensated solely based on performance. Performance will be measured in two primary categories:
- Contracts/Orders Executed
- Actual Revenue GeneratedMinimum Expectations:
- Secure at least 4 new job orders per month
- Generate a minimum of $37,500.00 in monthly revenueOn-Target Performance Expectations:
- Secure 4 new job orders totaling $80,000.00 in new business
- Generate $120,000.00 in monthly revenue from business sourced by this role, this generates a Commission of $18,000.00 for one monthCompensation Structure:Contract Bonus
- You will earn 2% of the low-range revenue value of each executed contract.
- Example: If a position is sold with a salary range of $90,000–$120,000, your bonus is $270 (2% of $90,000).
Sales Commission
- You will earn 15% of top-line revenue from the recruitment fees on your filled orders.
- Example: If a $90,000 role is filled with a 15% fee ($13,500), your commission will be $2,025.
Compensation Pay Schedule:
- Contract Bonuses will be paid monthly by the 5th of the following month.
- Commissions will be paid upon client payment, with a 3-business-day processing delay to account for check clearance and funding. Commission will not be paid if the client does not pay.

Position Overview
As the Business Development Manager, you'll play a critical role in generating new business opportunities by selling Legacy Talent Partners’ recruiting services directly to companies within our core industry verticals. This is a fully remote, independent contractor position with commission-based compensation—ideal for a high-performing, results-oriented sales professional who thrives in a flexible, entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities and Expectations
• Proactively identify and engage potential clients through outbound prospecting and direct outreach efforts
• Leverage tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator to research, target, and connect with decision-makers (e.g., HR leaders, hiring managers, executives)
• Build and manage a pipeline of leads and nurture them through the sales funnel
Produce a minimum of 4 new requests for service each month. This can be all from 1 client or can be from 4.
• Conduct discovery calls to understand hiring needs and position Legacy Talent Partners as a strategic recruitment partner
• Develop proposals, present solutions, negotiate terms, and close new business
• Collaborate with internal recruiters to ensure successful client onboarding and service delivery
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activity using CRM tools
• Foster long-term client relationships through consistent follow-up and high-touch communication
Required Qualifications
• 3+ years of B2B sales or business development experience, preferably in the staffing, recruiting, or workforce solutions industry
• Proven track record of direct client outreach and closing new business in a professional services environment
• Demonstrated experience using LinkedIn Sales Navigator and other prospecting tools
• Strong understanding of workforce solutions, talent acquisition processes, and client management best practices
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
• Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to work independently in a remote setting
• Comfortable working on a commission-only or performance-based compensation structure
Preferred Qualifications
• Prior experience working with clients in Construction, Manufacturing, or Software Development
• Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar)
• Experience working in a fast-paced, startup-style or boutique agency environment
• Consultative sales training or background in solution selling
