Lakeshore Talent is partnering with an exciting organization to hire a Leave and Accommodations Administrative Specialist on a long-term contract. This role will support the organization's HR team in administering leave and accommodation processes across multiple states, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws such as FMLA and ADA.
You’ll play an essential role in providing guidance and support to both employees and leadership, serving as a trusted resource for leave and accommodations questions. With the transition to a new system (Sparrow), you’ll also help support process improvements and system integration.
Contract (Long Term, through the end of the year)Location: Remote
Pay Rate: $45 – $50/hour
Software: MUST have Workday experience
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage employee requests for workplace accommodations.
- Ensure compliance with ADA and other applicable regulations.
- Partner with HR and leadership to implement and track accommodations.
- Support compliance with FMLA and state-specific leave laws across multiple states.
- Guide employees and managers on policies, processes, and next steps.
- Manage leave and accommodations requests within Workday.
- Ensure seamless integration with broader HR processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve automation and reporting.
- Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance on policies and processes.
- Address employee inquiries with empathy, clarity, and accuracy.
- Maintain clear documentation for all leave and accommodation cases.
- Generate reports on leave and accommodations metrics.
- Stay current with municipal, state, and federal leave law updates.
- Provide recommendations to HR and legal teams on complex cases.
QualificationsRequired:
- 1–2 years of administrative experience, preferably in HR or leave management.
- Strong knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and other leave/accommodation laws.
- MUST have Workday experience.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Preferred:
- Prior experience in leave management or accommodations across multiple states.
- Familiarity with additional HRIS systems.
- Strong problem-solving, curiosity, and critical thinking skills.
