Job Description

Posted on: April 22, 2026

Are you passionate about health equity and serving marginalized populations? Do you thrive in fast-paced, tech-forward, data-driven healthcare or public health environments? If the answer to any of the above is yes, Just Whole Care’s new Analyst role might be right for you!About Just Whole Care

We're a health equity strategy firm specializing in developing and scaling seamless, equitable, trauma-informed care. Based in Los Angeles, we're passionate about tackling complex challenges across our nation’s broken safety net. We advance care and service integration, workforce development, and healthcare policy and finance to elevate the impact and revenue of exceptional organizations in our communities.

Our collaborative, supportive culture empowers our people and partners to make a real difference in the lives of so many children, adults, and families.

Role Description

As an Analyst at Just Whole Care, you'll play a crucial role supporting new AI-enhanced health equity projects partnering with community-based organizations (CBOs), health systems, and payers. Working closely with the project team, you will gather and analyze clinical and financial data, prepare useful materials and tools using proprietary AI, and serve as a critical quality assurance reviewer, conducting rigorous audits of data-driven deliverables to ensure zero-defect alignment with Medi-Cal, CalAIM, and BHSA policies. Additionally, you will work directly with and help refine our AI, with the goal of enhancing the experience of the CBOs and others who use it.

This is a part-time, remote role with a preference for candidates in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area, with flexibility for some on-site work as needed. At this time, we are only accepting applications from candidates based in California.

Key responsibilities you will have:

  • Gathering and interpreting data and information relevant to the project, providing insights to inform deliverables and decision-making.
  • Preparing for and participating in project meetings, presenting data and analysis as needed.
  • Maintaining clear and accurate project documentation, including meeting minutes, status reports, and file folders.
  • Assisting Project Managers and Senior Managers with creating schedules, assigning resources, and keeping stakeholders informed.
  • Preparing client communication materials and contributing data and other content to progress reports.
  • Helping test and adjust internal tech-enabled frameworks and workflows to continuously improve the accuracy of client deliverables.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Strong data collection and interpretation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
  • Comfort and ability to use AI tools such as Gemini or ChatGPT to optimize workflows, synthesize data, and enhance deliverables.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience in a related field such as nursing, public health, public administration, business administration, or social work.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Lived experience navigating complex safety net healthcare systems, social services, and/or public health programs.
  • 2-3 years of experience in healthcare consulting, clinical compliance, quality assurance, or policy analysis (specifically dealing with Medi-Cal, CalAIM, or safety-net funding).
  • Direct operational or clinical experience within the safety net (e.g., as an ECM Lead Care Manager, program director, or clinical supervisor) is highly valued to ensure our tools remain grounded in reality.
  • 1-2 years working in a digital health, health tech, or systems implementation environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing, public health, public administration, business administration, or social work.
