Content Marketing Manager (remote, freelance)

It's Complicated is looking for a Content Marketing Manager (m/w/d) to support us on our mission of making therapy less complicated. Join our team and make a real difference for people seeking mental health support! 💚

What would you do all day?

• Strategy: Creating, executing, and owning our content strategy.
• Social Media: Managing and growing our existing social media channels (Instagram and LinkedIn) and building new ones such as Reddit and TikTok.
• Content Creation: Creating authentic and engaging content for our social media channels and for our performance marketing team (Meta, TikTok).
• UGC: Working with therapists, clients, and (micro)influencers to create short-form video content for organic and paid channels.
• Collaboration: Planning and aligning content across various teams and channels such as SEO, performance marketing, and B2B to make sure everything tells the same story.

Who are we looking for?

We know there's no perfect candidate who ticks all boxes, but we think we've found a great match if you:

• Have some work experience, ideally in a start-up or scale-up environment
• Have a background in marketing, branding or design
• Are passionate about mental health
• Are fluent in German and English
• Have a creative flair and a good eye for design
• Are familiar with (short-form) video creation and UGC content
• Know how to work with design and video editing tools
• Are based in the EU (Germany/Berlin is a big bonus)
• Feel comfortable working remotely and can start on a freelance basis

What would our partnership look like?

• Location: Fully remote within +/- 2h of the Berlin time zone
• Hours: 20-30h/week
• Contract: Freelance (employment possible later on)
• Start Date: As soon as possible
• Compensation: €3,300 per month for 30h/week

• Vision: Founded and led by therapists, we are deeply committed to making the world a better place and changing the way therapy works for both therapists and clients.
• Tools: Claude, G Suite, Slack, Linear, Miro, Canva, PostHog, and Notion.

What is It's Complicated?

It's Complicated is a Berlin-based mental health platform. We want to change the way therapy works in the digital age and become Europe's biggest, most diverse, and most sustainable therapy platform. Currently, our platform features 2,500+ mental health professionals from more than 80 countries, offering counselling in 60+ languages. We believe that life is complicated, but finding a therapist shouldn't be.
