Position SummaryIPD Hospitality is seeking a dynamic, results-driven Regional Director of Sales & Marketing to lead revenue generation efforts across a portfolio of 6–10 hotel properties. This is a highly active, field-based role designed for a true “hunter”—someone who thrives on prospecting, building relationships, and closing business.The ideal candidate is a hands-on sales leader who is not afraid to be in the field, on sales calls, and working side-by-side with property teams to drive top-line revenue. This role requires both strategic oversight and tactical execution, with a strong emphasis on direct selling, market penetration, and accountability for results.Key Responsibilities
- Lead sales and marketing efforts for a portfolio of 6–10 hotel properties
- Travel extensively (75%+) to conduct on-site visits, sales calls, and market blitzes
- Actively prospect, solicit, and secure new business across key segments (corporate, group, extended stay, etc.)
- Develop and execute sales strategies to maximize revenue, market share, and RevPAR performance
- Work closely with property-level sales teams to set goals, track performance, and drive accountability
- Participate in and lead client meetings, site tours, and contract negotiations
- Identify new revenue opportunities and penetrate untapped markets
- Participate in revenue management & financial call meetings as scheduled
- Support properties during staffing gaps, including stepping in to lead on-property sales efforts when needed
- Collaborate with revenue management to align pricing strategies with market demand
- Ensure brand and company standards are reflected in all marketing initiatives
- Analyze reports, pace, and forecasts to proactively adjust strategies
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of progressive hotel sales leadership experience
- Multi-property or regional sales experience strongly preferred
- Proven track record as a “hunter” with demonstrated success in driving new business
- Strong knowledge of hotel sales segments, distribution channels, and market dynamics
- Experience in both branded and independent hotel environments preferred
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable strategies
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Must reside within close proximity to a major airport for frequent travel
