VP of Finance

Global Air Charters is a full-service aviation charter and management company. Our focus is on providing the highest level of service whether it’s in aircraft charter, aircraft management, aircraft sales, or acquisitions. In all aspects of our operation, our goal is to exceed every clients unique and individual expectation. The essential responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Lead the financial strategy, planning, and management of the company, ensuring alignment with the organization's long-term goals
• Oversee all accounting functions, including monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting
• Prepare and present timely, accurate, and comprehensive financial statements, reports, and analyses to executive leadership, board members, and stakeholders
• Develop and manage the company's budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring accurate financial projections and variance analysis
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and internal controls, particularly in relation to aviation industry-specific financial regulations
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk, ensuring the company has the necessary resources for growth, expansion, and operations
• Lead a team of finance professionals, providing mentorship, training, and development opportunities to foster a high-performing finance department
• Collaborate with operations, sales, and executive teams to identify financial drivers and improve business performance across various departments
• Oversee audits, tax planning, and reporting requirements, working closely with external auditors and tax professionals
• Manage banking relationships, financing activities, and capital structure optimization to support company goals
• Stay abreast of developments in the private aviation industry, including market trends, regulatory changes, and economic factors that could impact financial performance

The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• 10+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior financial leadership role
• In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and financial reporting standards (GAAP, IFRS)
• Proven ability to develop and implement financial strategies that drive business performance and profitability
• Experience with financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and cost management in a dynamic and high-growth environment
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization
• Experience managing audits, tax filings, and banking relationships
• Advanced proficiency in financial software and systems, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
