Position Summary
The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for a wide array of marketing tasks and analysis to identify market opportunities for Glassguard. The Marketing Specialist will advise the Managing Director on developing and executing strategies to promote and accurately price Glassguard products, including penetration into new markets globally. The Marketing Specialist will have technical skills in e commerce and marketing softwares, as well as data
analytics capabilities. They will have core soft skills in communication, negotiation, stakeholder management, critical thinking, and teamwork. The role demands someone who can work autonomously, make data-driven decisions, and aligns well with our core values.

Candidate Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business communications, advertising or a highly related field from an Australian University or a university in an equivalent jurisdiction.
- At least 2 years’ full time experience in a similar role in an e-commerce company.
- Expertise in Klaviyo or similar specialised email marketing campaign software.
- Experience with Shopify and market segmentation analysis
- An understanding of web design and UX design
- Experience with sales and marketing campaigns through social media platforms such as Facebook, tiktok, Instagram, pintrest and linked in
- Native proficiency in English is essential
- Be located in Australia
- Familiarity with Google Analytics
- Experience with SEO and growing organic traffic with platforms such as Search Console would be considered favourably
- Knowledge of coding languages like HTML or CSS will be considered favourably.
- Experience in a similar e commerce product manufacturing direct-to-consumer business would be considered favourably
Core responsibilities:
- Planning, developing and organising marketing strategies and campaigns to identify sales opportunities, increase sales, and meet other sales objectives
- Advising the managing director and other managers on marketing strategies to create demand in tarket markets and increase consumer awareness of the attributes of goods and services of the company
- Advise the managing director and other managers on all elements of marketing (product mix, price, advertising and sales promotion, distribution channels etc)
- Develop and execute marketing campaigns to reach target markets and expand brand awareness to new markets, with a focus on email and social media marketing channels, or other advertising mediums and distribution approaches to cover the full marketing mix
- Evaluate characteristics of goods and services to be promoted with a broad understanding of product-market fit, competitive analysis, or consumer insights beyond existing or developing products.
- Liasing with contractors, business partners and other stakeholders to coordinate the production of marketing and advertising campaigns that align with the marketing strategy and sales objectives– for example involving specialised activities such as artwork, copywriting, media scripting, video production and media placement, within time and budget constraints
- Use specialised software such as Klavyio, shopify, triple whale and others to perform data analysis regarding consumer patterns and preferences and the effectiveness of new and existing marketing strategies and campaigns
- Use specialised software to interpret trends, provide insight into optimal pricing and marketing strategy, analyse current consumer trends, and forecast future trends.
- Research, collect and statistically analyse data to inform potential demand and market characteristics for new goods and services in current markets and in potential new market opportunities
- Support business growth by evaluating existing marketing campaigns, policies and strategies
- Planning and implementing new campaigns that consider economic, social, and cultural factors
- Supporting business growth and development through the preparation and execution of marketing objectives, policies and strategies
- Engage actively with the client base through a variety of channels
- Collaborate with PR teams on articles for major news/magazine publications, and organise collaborative social media product awareness campaigns
- Contribute to new product ideas and assist in new product development, including by commissioning or undertaking market research to identify market opportunities.
