Responsibilities Include:

• Deliverables Requirements Acceptance Criteria
• Develop and maintain data pipelines
• Modify existing Lambda functions and processing jobs to add new features
• Refactor code to ingest/process external data
• Add quality checks to existing pipelines
• Updated pipelines run successfully with new features
• External data ingestion works without errors
• Quality checks validate all critical datasets

Design and optimize data models

• Design data models leveraging

Iceberg format, for “silver” and “gold” layers

• Optimize queries for performance
• Schemas meet normalization and Iceberg standards
• Queries execute within defined performance thresholds
• No data integrity issues

Ensure data quality and governance

• Apply data validation rules
• Build automated quality checks
• Validation checks run on all datasets
• Reports generated and communicated
• No major data quality incidents

Documentation and knowledge sharing

• Document the data preparation process clearly, including transformations, code comments, and key decisions.
• Store all code in GitLab with meaningful commit messages and proper versioning for code and datasets.
• Documentation is complete, accurate, and accessible
• Stakeholders confirm clarity and usability

Mandatory Hard skills (+ 5 years ) :

• Strong coding experience in Python (or similar languages) with a Test-Driven Development
• (TDD) approach.
• Solid SQL skills for designing and maintaining efficient data schemas
• Hands-on experience with AWS services: Athena, Lambda, Aurora, EventBridge, Glue,
• SageMaker

Soft skills:

• Clear, concise communication with engineers, product, and data stakeholders.
• Pragmatic mindset: balances engineering rigor with delivery.
• Ownership: pushes features from design through production with measurable
• outcomes.
