Location: while this is a remote role, the preferred working location would be LA or NY.

SO, WHAT'S THE STORY?

You’re an experienced Senior Account Executive who has worked in a cross functional role. You understand how to utilize your communication and influencing skills to partner with colleagues in Sales, Product and Marketing to gain buy in and ultimately deliver best in class results. You’re ready to become a DM’s brand expert and to help drive the wholesale sales & strategy for Energy (AMP) within the US/America’s region. You’re excited to establish and drive the commercial plan for your account base, leading best in class partnerships with our valued partners. You get the Dr. Martens brand and are excited to become an expert in our product, our B2B partners, and the end consumers we service to ultimately support the wholesale team in enhancing Dr. Martens’ footprint in the Americas region.

Energy/AMP is an exciting segment of the business, working with accounts at our highest tier segmentation including collaborations. With the addition of Womens energy product to the mix, the opportunities for this role are now even greater than ever before.

THE GIG

  • You will be an expert on Dr. Martens, the product, customer and consumer we are servicing
  • Help set and execute the sales strategy, giving clear direction and support to cross functional teams.
  • Work closely with your sales management teams for clear alignment and execution for the brand
  • Work closely with leader and sales management to create the sales distribution in the US and America’s region.
  • Work closely and in alignment with management and cross functional teams as needed.
  • Keep stakeholders up to date and informed of progress, achievements, challenges through your clear communication and influencing skills
  • In partnership with Marketing, you will ensure DMs has absolute clarity around the current and potential consumer groups that support both the commercial and brand objectives of our KA’s.
  • Play a key role in the development, growth and management of channel specific Key Accounts across the region, solidifying brand-building relationships for the long term.
  • Understand and lead the KA’s assortment build, and segmentation strategy needed for your account and channel base for best in class consumer connectivity
  • You will liaise with the sales and the business operation teams to provide data to the team as and when needed.
  • Provide insights to brand and leadership team on competitors, consumer, account performance, market opportunities
  • Lead prelines, seasonal business reviews and sales meetings. Sell in and sell through with support from your cross functional teams
  • Maintain regular account visits to strengthen relationships, ensure proper brand presentation, drive selling and connectivity
  • It goes without saying that everyone at Dr Martens is a team. Everyone is expected to take on other duties as needed

THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART

  • You live and breathe within the fashion, street, and Energy culture
  • You will bring and establish a network of key players in the Energy community and develop your strategic vision within the space
  • Range of 4 to +8 years’ experience and exposure to Sales, Vendor Management, Product, and Marketing within the fashion industry preferred to include footwear. Equivalent levels of experience from other fields will be reviewed.
  • Expertise, experience on digital, omni channel wholesale business model preferred.
  • The confidence and credibility to take the lead and challenge or influence when necessary.
  • Previous and existing key accounts and/or vendor management, distribution management experience and proven relationship build preferred.
  • Inspiring communications skills and a collaborative spirit to enable cross functional working relationships, working with clear objectives and KPI’s.
  • Able to travel on an ad hoc basis internationally & domestically up to 40%.
  • Well organized with strong time management and prioritization capability.
  • A great planner with the practicality to manage the everyday tasks that enable the business to work smoothly.
  • Great at leveraging internal relationships across multiple functions.
  • An honest and open character with the disposition to take and give constructive feedback.
  • A positive outlook, spirit of enthusiasm
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel & PowerPoint
  • Ability to lift +30 pounds with or without accommodations.
  • Strong self-motivator, ability to self-manage under times of change and evolvement.
  • Ability to work at a standard computer set up 40+ hours per week with or without accommodations.

PAY DETAILS

  • $100,000 per year.
  • Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
