PART TIME REMOTE DATE PROTECTION OFFICER (2 DAYS PW FLEXIBLE) - SENIOR GDPR KNOWLEDGE AND ISO 9001 & 27001 AUDITING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED£60K - £80K PRO RATA + GOOD BENEFITS REMOTERef:4100D

We are exclusively recruiting for a leading software specialising in telecoms clients now recruiting a part time DPO. In a responsible and varied role, duties will include;

• Managing ISO27001 and ISO9001 annual audit processes and associated internal audits including the follow up of actions allocated to others
• Acting as DPO and main point of contact with the ICO including liaise with customers regarding their DP needs and promote DP awareness and understanding across firm
• Be responsible for monitoring and reporting on GDPR compliance
• Escalate and report any areas of concern identified to the Senior Management Team with a plan of action
• Define and document new policies, procedures and working practices for current or future regulatory compliance, including the latest ISO updates
• Ensure senior management team are kept up to date on changes in legislation that have an effect on business
• Proactively monitor regulatory changes in the telco industry and their application for clients
• Work with the Information Services and Technology team to update policies on data security and breech management
• Lead employee training on compliance related topics, policies or procedures including induction days
• Provide advice and direction across the organisation in understanding the risks relating to non-conformance to regulations.
• Promote a culture of robust regulatory compliance and continuous improvement
• Document management; including ensuring all documents, policies, procedures, guidance, check lists are tracked, reviewed, up to date and stored correctly.

You should be a graduate or have equivalent qualifications with at least 5 years experience of Data Protection at a similar senior level including the management of ISO Security/Compliance Auditing and ideally some involvement in regulations & contracts (PLEASE ensure all such properly stated on your CV). Any experience in the Software or Telecoms sectors useful but more important are strong communication & influencing skills and a proactive self motivated approach as a fully remote role (but must be based in the UK).

NB the salary will be 40% of the range quoted whilst the company is very flexible as to whether the 2 days (15 hours) pw are done together or spread out across the week eg 3 hours pd to suit child care etc, or else any combination of such.
