Summary:
The client is seeking a results-driven Senior M&A Manager with 3-4 years’ experience in Corporate Development/M&A within a Private Equity-backed environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying, evaluating, and executing strategic acquisition opportunities, as well as supporting ongoing portfolio management initiatives. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate potential acquisition targets that align with the client’s strategic objectives.
- Conduct market research and industry analysis to pinpoint trends and opportunities for value creation.
- Develop and maintain detailed financial models, perform valuation analyses, and assess the strategic fit of potential targets.
- Analyse historical performance, growth prospects, and risk factors to support decision-making.
- Lead due diligence processes, coordinating cross-functional teams including legal, financial, and operational experts.
- Prepare investment committee materials, presentation decks, and detailed reports to underpin acquisition recommendations.
- Manage negotiations, structure deals, and ensure seamless execution from initial assessment through to post-deal integration.
- Collaborate with portfolio company management teams to develop and implement post-acquisition integration plans.
- Monitor performance against strategic and financial targets, recommending adjustments as necessary.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with intermediaries, investment bankers, and industry contacts.
- Act as a liaison between internal stakeholders and external advisors throughout the deal process.
Qualifications
- 3-4 years’ Corporate Development/M&A experience within a Private Equity-backed setting.
- A proven track record in sourcing, evaluating, and executing M&A transactions in the business services or related sectors.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong financial modelling and analytical skills with a deep understanding of valuation techniques.
- Proficiency in financial analysis software and the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly.
- Strong negotiation skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- The ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment and work collaboratively with diverse teams.
