Position Summary 

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Client Services Officer / Paraplanner to join our dynamic and growing team. This fully remote, hybrid role is perfect for someone who thrives on delivering exceptional client service and has a solid foundation in financial planning principles. You will work closely with financial advisers and internal teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality, tailored financial advice and seamless implementation. 

Key ResponsibilitiesClient Services & Administration 

  • Act as the first point of contact for client queries, ensuring timely and professional communication. 
  • Manage and maintain client accounts, processing updates, transactions, and follow-ups efficiently. 
  • Assist with Centrelink applications, reporting, and client updates. 
  • Liaise with superannuation funds, investment platforms, insurance companies, and other third parties to obtain policy and product information. 
  • Monitor advice implementation progress, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and within required timeframes. 
  • Ensure all client interactions and administrative tasks comply with relevant legislation, industry standards, dealer group procedures and Alura Financial processes. 
  • Contribute to ongoing process improvements that enhance the client experience and internal workflow efficiencies. 

Paraplanning & Strategic Support 

  • Conduct research, analysis, and modelling to support the development of comprehensive financial strategies. 
  • Prepare clear, concise, and compliant Statements of Advice (SOAs), Records of Advice (ROAs), and strategy papers. 
  • Collaborate with financial advisers to develop tailored recommendations in areas including superannuation, retirement, wealth creation, personal insurance, estate planning, and taxation. 
  • Compare and analyse financial products and providers to support compliant and client-centric advice outcomes. 
  • Stay informed of changes in legislation, compliance requirements, and financial planning strategies. 
  • Work closely with internal paraplanning and admin teams to ensure smooth end-to-end advice delivery. 

Skills & Experience Required 

  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience as a Client Services Officer within the financial planning industry. 
  • Paraplanning experience is essential, with at least 2 years in a similar role. 
  • Diploma or Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning (preferred). 
  • Strong knowledge of Australian financial advice regulations, compliance standards, and advice processes. 
  • Proficiency with financial planning software (Xplan or AdviserLogic highly regarded). 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a simple and actionable way. 
  • High level of attention to detail and strong analytical/problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines, work autonomously, and support a team environment. 

Desirable Attributes 

  • Experience in developing or supporting advice strategies involving SMSFs, aged care, and tax-effective investment planning. 
  • Knowledge of Centrelink processes and financial modelling tools. 
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and process-driven approach. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
