Discover Remote Opportunities
If you're looking to work from home or anywhere in the world, consider pursuing a career in project management, technology, or communications.
As some high-profile companies are tightening their return-to-office mandates, employers in these sectors are still hiring for more remote and flexible roles, according to new research from FlexJobs. The site noted a 20% increase in remote job listings in 2024 compared to 2023, marking a return to growth levels last seen in 2022.
However, workers hoping for a return to earlier, more accommodating norms should temper their excitement. As of December 2024, only 8% of jobs on LinkedIn were remote, down from 18% in early 2022.
The Rarity of Work-from-Anywhere Jobs
Jobs that allow employees to work from any location or time zone are rare, making up only about 5% of all remote roles. FlexJobs analyzed its database to identify the companies with the highest volume of remote, location-flexible job postings from January to December 2024.
All companies listed offer full-time or part-time remote jobs without location restrictions and require no office time. You can explore the full list here.
