Carpark Records is an independent record label based in Washington, D.C. and New York City. Since its inception in 1999, it has been a platform for emerging IDM, ambient, and experimental sounds. The label has evolved, gaining international recognition through its roster of innovative artists.
Position Summary
The Marketing and Production Manager will oversee the daily operations of the label, blending creative input, analytical thinking, and organization. This role involves guiding artists through album campaigns and coordinating with various teams including managers, publicists, and distributors.
Responsibilities
- Project management of all releases
- Facilitate the production/creative process including mixing, mastering, and hiring creatives
- Create and maintain catalog’s metadata
- Execute digital marketing strategies including social media and email marketing
- Manage online presence across social media, D2C platforms, and websites (WordPress and Squarespace)
- Maintain an archive of all assets/files on Google Drive
- Copywriting for bios, press releases, and promotional materials
- Configure releases for digital and physical products with distributors
- Manage international inventory and logistics
- Distribute release assets to external partners
- Photo and video editing tasks
Ideal Candidate
- Well organized with keen attention to detail
- Strong time management and multitasking skills
- Self-driven and capable of independent work
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proven digital marketing experience with knowledge of social media trends
- Proficiency in Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads
- Familiarity with Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, and Adobe Creative Cloud
- 2-3 years of experience in the music industry preferred
- Enthusiasm for Carpark’s artist roster
