Relief Applications, a European organization at the intersection of technology and humanitarian response, is seeking an experienced HR & Talent Acquisition Manager for a fully remote, part-time consultancy role. This position blends strategic recruitment with full-spectrum human resources management, supporting a distributed global workforce.
Dual Role: Recruitment and HR Management
The role combines talent acquisition and HR operations, ideal for a professional who can independently manage both talent pipelines and internal HR systems in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Recruitment Responsibilities: Global Talent Sourcing
Approximately half of the role focuses on proactive sourcing across platforms like LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, and ReliefWeb. Key duties include:
- Building and maintaining a qualified talent pipeline
- Managing end-to-end recruitment cycles with technical leadership
- Screening candidates and coordinating interviews
- Maintaining a consultant roster for rapid deployment
- Supporting staffing for humanitarian projects and tenders
HR Management: Full Employee Lifecycle
The other half covers HR administration and employee support across international entities. Responsibilities include:
- Drafting and managing staff/consultant contracts
- Onboarding and offboarding
- Coordinating payroll with accounting partners
- Maintaining employee records and compliance
- Ensuring HR legal compliance in France and Spain
Employee Relations and Culture
Beyond administration, the role involves direct employee engagement to support wellbeing and culture:
- Conducting one-on-one HR check-ins
- Managing annual performance reviews
- Handling conflict resolution
- Acting as a confidential HR contact
- Supporting team-building and engagement initiatives
Strategic HR Planning
The manager will contribute to long-term workforce planning and organizational development:
- Developing HR systems and talent strategies
- Anticipating staffing needs for projects
- Reporting on HR metrics and recruitment performance
- Supporting international growth
Candidate Profile
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
- ~5 years of experience in HR and/or talent acquisition
- Strong experience with LinkedIn Recruiter and sourcing tools
- Experience in HR administration, contracts, and payroll
- Familiarity with nonprofit/NGO/humanitarian sectors is an advantage
Language requirements:
- French: Required
- English: Professional proficiency
- Spanish: Strong advantage
