The market for high-paying remote jobs is heating up!

According to a recent report from Ladders, a career site specializing in six-figure positions, 10.4% of roles that pay $250,000 or more were advertised as remote in the third quarter of 2024, a notable increase from 8.8% in the second quarter. This data was compiled by analyzing over 500,000 job postings on the platform from July to September 2024.

Industries with High-Paying Remote Jobs

The fields with the most high-paying remote jobs include:

  • Marketing
  • Human Resources (HR)
  • Operations
  • Management
  • Sales
  • Project Management

While the report does not specify individual job titles, FlexJobs has also identified several six-figure remote job titles that are in demand across marketing, sales, and project management.

In-Demand Remote Job Titles and Salaries

Here are some of the top remote job titles along with their average salaries:

  1. Sales Director - $112,068
  2. Account Director - $104,923
  3. Business Development Director - $115,608
  4. Senior Product Designer - $131,110
  5. Senior Product Marketing Manager - $136,790

Interestingly, while high-paying remote job opportunities are increasing, the overall availability of remote jobs is declining. According to LinkedIn, only 8% of jobs are remote as of now, down from 18% in early 2022. However, there is evidence that high earners are regaining leverage for flexible work arrangements.

Industry Trends

In sectors like tech, finance, and consulting, companies are scaling back on remote opportunities to remain competitive. Nonetheless, many businesses are recognizing the cost savings associated with reducing office space and expanding their talent pools geographically. This shift allows them to justify higher salaries for remote positions.
