SciLeads, a Belfast-based market-intelligence solutions provider for the global life sciences sector, has announced plans to create 60 new fully remote jobs between 2026 and 2029. This expansion comes after a strong 2025 that has positioned the company for significant growth as it approaches its 10-year anniversary.
Roles and Departments
To meet increasing demand, SciLeads is expanding its workforce across multiple departments. The new roles will be created in areas such as:
- Software engineering
- Product development
- Sales
- Customer success
- Marketing
The company has already begun welcoming new hires this year and will continue to scale its team over the next three years.
Company Background
Established in 2016 by friends Daniel McRitchie, Laura Haldane, and James Campbell, SciLeads is headquartered in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The company specializes in making lead generation and market research simpler and more streamlined for the life sciences industry.
Leadership Insights
Daniel McRitchie, CEO of SciLeads, commented on the company's growth: "2025 was a transformational year for SciLeads. We're continuing to invest in our platform and data so we can deliver even greater value to our customers, and we're looking forward to welcoming new talent, both here in the UK and across the Atlantic, as we scale globally in 2026."
Co-founder Laura Haldane highlighted the advantages of their remote work model: "As a remote company, we have an excellent advantage in that we can recruit top talent from anywhere. This means we not only have the best team but also the flexibility of working on our own terms."
Northern Ireland's Tech Scene
This announcement is part of a series of positive developments from Northern Irish businesses in early 2026:
- In late January, Belfast health-tech startup Eolas Medical raised $12 million in Series A funding to scale its AI functionality within the UK's National Health Service (NHS) and expand internationally.
- Also in January, Belfast-based sports technology startup TeamFeePay closed a £9 million equity funding round to expand into new markets and fuel recruitment efforts.
The funding for TeamFeePay was led by YFM Equity Partners (£4.5 million) and the Investment Fund for Northern Ireland (£3 million), with additional contributions from Techstart and private investors.
