As part of our continued expansion, we are seeking to grow our Sales & Customer Success Team. The successful candidate will focus on both generating new business opportunities and growing existing accounts across our diverse client portfolio, delivering outcomes aligned with emerging customer needs.

WYWM primarily operates remotely, with an office located in Sydney. We welcome candidates from the Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Canberra regions who are interested in remote/hybrid work to apply.

Position Overview:

This role offers a unique opportunity for a motivated Sales Development Representative (SDR) to work directly with the CEO, driving client-facing activity, supporting sales initiatives, and providing strategic analytics. The SDR will be integral to generating new leads, engaging with potential clients, and providing post-event support to the CEO. This role is particularly focused on expanding business opportunities within WYWMs Talent Services Business which places digital talent into customers. This is more than a typical SDR role—it's an opportunity to accelerate your career by partnering with senior leadership, driving strategic initiatives, and contributing to business growth.

Opportunities:

  • Direct CEO Engagement: Collaborate closely with the CEO, gaining insight into executive-level decision-making and strategic thinking. This role provides a platform to develop leadership skills and gain exposure to high-level business strategy.
  • Sector Growth: Engage with a diverse customer base across Defence, Defence Industry, and Manufacturing, contributing to exciting future-of-work discussions as these sectors continue to evolve and expand.

Key Responsibilities and Required SFIA Skills:

  1. Client Engagement and Sales Management
  • Client Services Management (CSMG) - Level 4: Support the CEO by managing client interactions, facilitating follow-ups, and maintaining client engagement. Attend industry events and ensure post-event engagement strategies are executed to drive new opportunities.
  • Sales Management (SALE) - Level 3-4: Assist the CEO in sales planning and execution, coordinating sales activities to drive client acquisition and nurturing existing relationships. Implement outbound campaigns to build and sustain a robust sales pipeline.
  1. Market and Sector Analysis
  • Business Analysis (BUAN) - Level 3: Conduct research and analysis to identify and evaluate new business opportunities in specified sectors. Support the CEO with insights and data to inform strategic decisions.
  • Analytics (BUSA) - Level 3: Analyse sales performance and market trends to optimise outbound campaigns and improve lead generation strategies.
  1. Lead Generation and Outreach
  • Sales Support (SSUP) - Level 3: Support the CEO by assisting with proposals and presentations, collaborating on lead insights, and ensuring alignment with customer needs.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in sales development withing a talent (recruitment) type environment; preferably in B2B or technical industries (Defence, Manufacturing, or Technology sectors advantageous).
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with a professional and proactive approach to client engagement.
  • Analytical mindset with experience in sales data reporting and the ability to present findings in a concise manner.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and support executive leadership.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tools (HubSpot or similar preferred).
