Job Summary: This role is crucial for the complete oversight, accuracy, and maintenance of our enterprise content catalog product. This will be a cross-functional role that interfaces with stakeholders across product, product marketing, content, and sales. The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter who relishes tackling ambiguous challenges and is able to coordinate across teams and remove obstacles as needed. This person should be experienced in data with at least some knowledge of operations, and committed to taking a customer-centric approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ownership of Enterprise Catalog as a Product
- Responsible for the comprehensive oversight, accuracy, and maintenance of the enterprise content catalog product
- Understand the various content products that Enterprise customers consume (such as Academies) and ensure that the broader enterprise catalog supports these products
- Respond to, troubleshoot, and resolve any data issues related to the enterprise content catalog as reported by internal stakeholders
Cross-Functional Expertise:
- Liaise across product, product marketing, content, and sales teams to understand stakeholder needs and to seek out key information needed for the enterprise catalog
- Ensure clear roles, responsibilities, and accountability across cross-functional teams who are key to managing the catalog efficiently
- Influence leaders across the company to advocate for improvements in the catalog and its usability
Customer-Centric Focus:
- Develop and update business requirements by consulting with field teams to determine the most useful information/metadata for enterprise customers to understand and utilize content for their learners.
Data Management & Maintenance:
- Regularly maintain the quality of the data and ensure data is correct and precise through regular proactive audits.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure that products and customer-facing assets derived from the content catalog are accurate, efficient, and fully operational
- Flag concerns about content maintenance and ensure proper teams are informed and able to take action.
Quality Assurance Processes:
- Implement continuous quality assurance processes to prevent future errors and ensure data accuracy
- Foster streamlined communication and coordination between internal cross-functional teams including data science, product, product marketing, and sales teams
- Keep leaders updated on the status, barriers, and proposed solutions
- Ensure timely updates and a unified strategy in managing and enhancing the enterprise catalog and related products
Qualifications:
- 4+ yrs experience as a Product Operation Coordinator or Project Management supporting business and stakeholder relations
- Experience to collaborate cross-functionally to ensure that products are accurate, efficient, and fully operational
- Requires being assertive and can hold teams accountable: making sure the info requested in provided, follow-up and hold accountable
- Must have experience with Google spreadsheets and working with data
- Experience using spreadsheets to interpret process data and extract insights
- Experience with Jira and Looker or similar
- Must have excellent experience with stakeholder communication and confident communicating with leaders.
- Must have experience building relationships, gathering business requirements, and executing tasks.
- Requires experience with process optimization, process orientated mindset with heavy cross-functional collaboration
- Experience in ensuring that product development processes are efficient, organized, and aligned with company goals - managing timelines, setting up workflows, and ensuring communication between teams
- Able to deal with a lot of ambiguity, define processes, and bring stakeholders together and hold them accountable
- Must be a self-starter; accountability and being proactive will be essential.
- Able to attend meetings a few hours a day in EST and PST, USA hours
- Experience in developing relationships; working cross functionally with teams and able to communicate effectively.
- Experience with or comfortable working with data teams and be able to speak in a way that makes sense to those teams
- Bonus: Experience with database management
- Bonus: Experience in higher education industry and/or learning content
- Bonus: Familiarity with catalog management (managing the database for course titles and making sure it’s accurate)
