Customer Insights Data Analyst ( SQL / Tableau / Databricks)18 month Day Rate ContractRemote Australia$750-830 a day inc super DOECustomer Insights Data Analyst ( SQL / Tableau / Databricks) role required to join one of Australia’s largest Tech giants, sat within the Customer Analytics team in a newly created centralised area of Data Analytics expertise.
This role involves collaborating on various product and business challenges alongside a diverse group of cross-functional partners. The individual will utilize a structured and clear approach to become a trusted strategic partner.
Key Responsibilities for the Customer Insights Data Analyst ( SQL / Tableau / Databricks) include :
- Apply technical expertise in quantitative analysis and experimentation to develop strategies that address significant business challenges.
- Formulate hypotheses using various analytical methodologies and frameworks, rigorously testing them to derive actionable insights.
- Identify and evaluate opportunities for product and business improvement, influencing roadmaps with insights and recommendations.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to shape and execute strategic decisions.
- Monitor key product metrics to assess the success of initiatives and identify trends through forecasting.
- Leverage data to drive product development, quantify opportunities, and address challenges, ensuring offerings provide real value to customers and the organization.
Experience required for the Customer Insights Data Analyst ( SQL / Tableau / Databricks) :
- Proven experience in an analytics role, transforming data into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives from complex data.
- Familiarity with the SaaS customer lifecycle, from acquisition to retention.
- Experience in designing and analyzing experiments.
- Proficiency in SQL (Snowflake, Postgres) with the ability to write structured and efficient queries on large datasets.
- Experience with Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Hex) is preferred.
- Knowledge of statistical scripting languages (e.g., R or Python) is a plus.
The organization is building a centralized pool of contractors within the Data Science team to address needs arising from parental leave, sabbaticals, and project demands. Over a period of 4-6 months, the individual will have the opportunity to rotate through various teams within the Data Science organization.

Essential Requirements for the :
- Experience: 5-7 years as a Data Analyst.
- Top Technical Skills: SQL, Excel, and experience with Tableau/Data Bricks.
- Top Soft Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, ability to connect data with business implications, and the ability to work autonomously in a remote setting.
Top Must-Haves (Ranked):
- Proficiency in SQL.
- Dashboarding experience with Tableau/Data Bricks.
- Ability to interpret data and communicate its business impact.
