Social Community Engagement Specialist

Position Overview:

As our Social Community Engagement Specialist, you will play a key role in building, nurturing, and engaging with our online social communities. You’ll support the day-to-day management of our social channels and help foster meaningful connections with our audience. This opportunity offers hands-on experience in social media community management, engagement, and strategy.

Position Responsibilities:

• Monitor, engage, and respond to comments, messages, and conversations across our social platforms to maintain a strong, authentic brand voice.
• Identify and conduct outbound engagement with likeminded brands and influencers to support worldbuilding for both @peteandgerrys and @nelliesfreerange, with an eye toward future partnerships and collaborations.
• Track community sentiment and identify trends, opportunities, or concerns that should be communicated to the broader team.
• Gather community insights and provide monthly reports on engagement, growth, and key learnings.
• Stay informed on social trends, emerging platforms, and best practices to bring fresh ideas to the team.
• Provide general support to the Social Media & Influencer Manager as needed, assisting with special projects, campaign execution, and day-to-day social tasks.

Team and Agency Collaboration:

• Work closely with our Social Media & Influencer Manager to align community interactions with broader brand voice and campaigns.
• Share insights and learnings across Marketing team to ensure the community’s voice is represented in strategic decision-making.

Who You Are:

• A passionate and curious digital native with a strong interest in social media, community building, and online culture.
• Engaging copywriter, who knows how to create standout responses to get our brands seen.
• Excellent communicator with a friendly, approachable, and empathetic tone.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities at once.
• Proactive problem-solver who enjoys engaging with people and fostering connections.
• Comfortable using social media management and analytics tools (experience with Meltwater, Sprout Social, or similar platforms is a plus).
• A creative thinker who isn’t afraid to share new ideas and experiment.
• Ability to interpret analytics, including reach, engagement, and sentiment, to help inform community strategy and reporting.

The Social Community Engagement Specialist will play an important role in fostering authentic connections with our audience, strengthening PGO’s online presence, and supporting our marketing objectives through meaningful interactions and collaborative teamwork.
