Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced and results-driven telematics business development manager to join our team on a freelance, commission-only basis to drive the sales of our new soon to be launched telematics product.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an innovative company that is shaping the future of fleet sustainability. The ideal candidate will have in-depth experience selling telematics solutions within the UK market and a proven track record of business development success in a commission-based sales environment. You will focus on selling our upcoming telematics proposition, a core product in our sustainable fleet offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales and Business Development: Identify and target new business opportunities within the UK fleet management sector, with a focus on promoting Omility's telematics solution. Build relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in potential client organisations.
  • Client Acquisition: Lead the end-to-end sales process from prospecting to closing, ensuring a strong pipeline.
  • Product Knowledge: Gain an in-depth understanding of Omility's telematics and sustainability products to effectively communicate value propositions and technical benefits to potential clients.
  • Consultative Selling: Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their fleet management challenges and determining cross selling opportunities how Omility’s other solutions can address their needs, especially in the context of decarbonisation and ESG reporting.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Omility team to ensure seamless communication and alignment in product development, marketing, and sales strategies.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven track record of selling telematics solutions and related technologies in the UK market.
  • Extensive experience in business development and sales within the fleet management, transportation, or sustainability sectors.
  • Strong understanding of telemetry technology within fleet operations.
  • Self-motivated, with a proactive approach to prospecting and closing deals in a commission-based sales environment.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport with senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • A consultative selling style, focused on understanding customer needs and delivering tailored solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own time effectively to meet targets and deadlines.
  • Previous experience in a commission-only or freelance sales role is a plus.
