About the Role

Professional basketball player and creator New Williams is seeking a Social Media Manager to support the growth of his personal brand across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn.

The ideal candidate is a hybrid content strategist + creative producer who understands sports culture, lifestyle storytelling, and the pace of modern digital media.

This role involves content ideation, editing support, and consistent week-to-week execution — along with strong videography and photography skills to capture higher-level visuals at workouts, events, and travel shoots.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate weekly content ideas aligned with New’s brand pillars (basketball, lifestyle, mindset, training, sports marketing).

• Capture high-quality photo and video content during workouts, games, events, and travel as needed.

• Edit short-form videos (Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts) and assist with thumbnails/covers.

• Maintain a consistent posting cadence and help build a structured content pipeline.

• Analyze performance and advise on trends, hooks, storytelling angles, and optimization.

• Coordinate remote + in-person shoots; travel when required (all expenses covered).

• Find and source brand deals and opportunities for sponsorship and press.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of social media trends, culture shifts, and short-form formats.

• Proven skills in videography and photography, including framing, lighting, and on-set direction.

• Editing experience (CapCut, Premiere, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci, etc.).

• Ability to bring creative ideas — not just execute tasks.

• Comfort working in a fast-paced creator/athlete environment with shifting schedules.

• Ability to work independently, stay organized, and hit consistent weekly output.

• Experience with sports content is highly preferred.
