Job Description
Posted on: November 14, 2025
At Money Means, we're not just building a product; we're revolutionising how people understand and manage their finances. We're a mission-driven team passionate about creating a positive impact, fostering a fast-paced, agile, and innovative environment where your ideas and leadership can truly make a difference.
About the Role:
We're seeking an exceptional Product Owner to lead the delivery of Aida, our AI-powered financial adviser. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of an innovative product that's transforming how people access financial guidance. You'll be the bridge between vision and execution, working across our AI and App delivery teams to bring our ambitious roadmap to life.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic startup environment, loves wearing multiple hats, and is energised by the challenge of delivering AI-enabled financial solutions. You'll need to be comfortable moving between strategic product thinking, detailed analysis, and hands-on quality verification - all while keeping our teams aligned and our users at the heart of everything we do.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead product delivery across two specialist teams (AI and App), ensuring seamless collaboration and aligned execution of Aida's roadmap
- Partner with design teams to transform opportunities and discoveries into well-scoped, user-centric solutions ready for development
- Own the product backlog, including triage, prioritisation, and refinement to maximise value delivery and team efficiency
- Step into the BA role when needed, preparing detailed story refinements, acceptance criteria, and user journey mapping
- Take on QA responsibilities where required, reviewing new features and ensuring quality standards are met before release
- Facilitate agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, refinement sessions, reviews, and retrospectives
- Bridge technical and business stakeholders, translating between user needs, business objectives, and technical constraints
- Champion the user, using data, feedback, and research to inform product decisions and validate solutions
- Monitor and communicate progress, providing transparent updates on delivery, blockers, and risks
- Drive continuous improvement, identifying process optimisations and team workflow enhancements
Why You'll Thrive Here:
- Shape cutting-edge AI products: Lead the development of an AI-powered financial adviser that's genuinely helping people with their finances
- Make a Real Difference: Your work will directly impact how millions of people manage their financial future
- Wear Multiple Hats: Enjoy the variety and growth that comes from being product owner, analyst, and quality champion rolled into one
- Collaborate Across Disciplines: Work closely with AI engineers, app developers, designers, and business stakeholders
- Fast-Paced Innovation: Operate in an agile environment where your decisions and insights drive rapid progress
- Growth Opportunities: Expand your influence as we scale, with potential to specialise or lead larger product portfolios
Key Skills & Experience:
- 3+ years in product ownership, product management, or similar roles delivering digital products
- Strong agile mindset with hands-on experience of Scrum or Kanban methodologies
- Proven ability to collaborate with engineering teams, understanding technical constraints and possibilities
- Experience creating user stories with clear acceptance criteria and managing product backlogs effectively
- Background in business analysis, including requirements gathering, process mapping, and stakeholder workshops
- Quality-focused mindset with experience in testing approaches, defect management, and release criteria
- Excellent communication skills, able to articulate complex ideas clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
- Data-informed decision making, using metrics and user feedback to prioritise and validate features
- Stakeholder management expertise, building consensus and managing expectations across diverse groups
- Detail-oriented yet strategic, comfortable zooming between big picture vision and granular execution
Bonus Points:
- Experience working with AI/ML products or emerging technologies
- Background in fintech, financial services, or regulated environments
- Familiarity with design thinking and user research methodologies
- Experience with product analytics tools (e.g., Mixpanel, Amplitude, Heap)
- Experience with mobile app development or app-based products
- Previous experience working in startups or high-growth environments
Our Interview Process:
- Initial Conversation - Get to know each other, discuss your experience and our vision for Aida
- Product Challenge - A practical exercise to demonstrate your approach to backlog prioritisation and feature scoping
- Team Session - Meet the delivery teams and participate in a collaborative refinement session
- Meet our Founder - Where our CEO/Founder Helena will bring Money Means to life, and share what working at Money Means will involve, both now and in the future!
What You'll Get:
We are an early-stage startup, but we value our team and have pretty good benefits:
- Pension: 5% employee and 3% employer contribution
- Annual Leave: 24 days per year + Bank holidays + Festive shutdown
