Michael Aram is seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong background in sales and communication. The right person will possess the organizational and technological skills to open new accounts and grow our existing customer base. Responsibilities include prospecting, developing, and maintaining relationships with both retail and specialty accounts, as well as internal business partners and brand collaborators.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Identify prospective customers using research sources and lead generation tools.
- Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with prospective, current, and past customers.
- Routinely document, clean, and maintain prospecting and active account records. Making sure our CRM is actively updated and correct.
- Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints.
- Participate in off-site events (Trade Shows, Conclaves, Sample Sales, Inventory Audits, Etc.)
- Maintain strong partnerships with internal departments: Customer Service, Marketing, Merchandising, IT, and Finance, to continuously develop services and business results.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Strong understanding of technology and Software Tools (CRM, Excel, SAP, ect.)
- Ability to understand retail operations, margins, product lifecycle, and inventory positions.
- Ability to read, analyze, interpret and develop general selling reports
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries and complaints. Effective and persuasive presentation skills on complex topics to top management.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Some travel required
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Business or Marketing)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position within retail, wholesale, or technology sales.
