About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist for Full Time to manage and execute payroll processes for employees in Poland. You will be responsible for ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant payroll operations while supporting employees with payroll-related queries. This is a full-time position ideal for someone with strong knowledge of Polish labor law and social security regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process monthly payroll in accordance with Polish labor laws and tax regulations.
- Ensure timely and accurate payment of salaries, bonuses, and other compensation.
- Maintain and update payroll records including contracts, timesheets, and benefits.
- Handle employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies professionally.
- Liaise with ZUS, US (Tax Office), and other governmental bodies to ensure legal compliance.
- Process statutory contributions including PIT, ZUS, and PPK (if applicable).
- Assist in audits and ensure payroll documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Collaborate with the HR team to onboard new hires and manage terminations in the payroll system.
- Generate payroll reports and provide monthly summaries for finance and management.
Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years of payroll experience in Poland.
- In-depth knowledge of Polish labor law, PIT, and social insurance (ZUS) regulations.
- Experience with payroll systems (e.g., Enova, Symfonia, SAP, or similar).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office software.
- High level of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
- Fluent in Polish; good command of English (written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, HR, or related field.
- Experience in a multinational or fast-paced tech/startup environment.
- Familiarity with PPK and international payroll exposure is a plus.
