Senior Narrative Designer - Global Remote Freelance

We are growing rapidly and have studios in India (in Gurgaon, Bangalore and Pune) as well as teams in the US, UK, Japan, and the Philippines. Our studio works on multiple exciting projects at any one time offering plenty of variety and involvement. We have worked on some of the biggest and most exciting IP's in the games industry, including Diablo Resurrected, Final Fantasy VII Remake, Halo Infinite, Returnal, Forza Horizon 5, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Borderlands 3, FIFA Online 4, PUGB: New State, Sea of Thieves, Amazon: New World, Dauntless, State of Decay 2, Middle Earth: Shadow of War, just to name a few. Our successful studio is continuing to grow, and we are looking for an experienced Senior Narrative Designer (UK time zone preferred but not required) to join the team. This is a fully remote 6-month Freelance contract starting in June 2025, with the possibility of extension for another 6-12 months. This position is offered on a fully remote basis, but the successful candidate must be able to work within the UK time zone hours.What we are looking for:

• 5+ years of experience as a narrative designer, writing and implementing dialogue to support the player journey
• Strong knowledge of Unreal Engine and experience with in-game dialogue systems
• Ability to write and implement in-game dialogue, barks, and supporting text
• Comfortable collaborating with writers and designers to shape story arcs and narrative beats
• Familiarity with maintaining and evolving narrative design documentation
• Strong understanding of tone, voice, and thematic consistency
• Able to connect narrative to gameplay through design alignment
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Proactive, team-oriented, and comfortable working across disciplines
