Crafted with a watermelon base and packed with electrolytes, vitamins, and nutrients, with no artificial sweeteners or synthetic dyes, Flerish is built for modern lifestyles and a mindset of growth and well-being. Our brand lives at the intersection of performance, culture, and community, and is available on Amazon, TikTok Shop, Instagram, Kroger and select Southern California retailers. As we expand into national retail, we're looking for a bold marketing leader to help take us there.
The Role
The Director of Marketing will own the strategic vision and hands-on execution of Flerish's marketing efforts across retail, brand, influencer, performance, ecommerce/Amazon, and social channels. This is a leadership role that requires someone equally comfortable setting strategy and rolling up their sleeves and guiding creative direction one day, pulling campaign analytics the next. You'll work closely with the CEO, retail teams and social media teams to ensure every marketing touchpoint drives measurable growth and cultural relevance.
Key Responsibilities
Influencer & Partnership Marketing
- Own end-to-end influencer strategy: sourcing, contracting, briefing, and performance tracking across Instagram, TikTok, and emerging platforms
- Build and manage a tiered influencer network — from nano creators to athlete and celebrity partnerships — aligned with Flerish's culture and target consumer
- Develop co-branded campaigns and activations with athletes, wellness figures, and lifestyle creators that authentically extend brand reach
- Establish performance benchmarks and reporting frameworks to evaluate influencer ROI
Performance & Growth Marketing
- Lead paid media strategy and execution across Meta, TikTok, Google, and Amazon Ads
- Manage and optimize digital funnels to improve conversion rates, CAC, ROAS, and customer lifetime value
- Use data and consumer insights to drive continuous campaign optimization and identify new growth channels
- Oversee ecommerce performance across Shopify and Amazon, aligning marketing with product launches and inventory
- Translate analytics into actionable strategy adjustments across all digital channels
Brand Strategy & Creative Direction
- Define and steward overall brand strategy, ensuring consistency across all channels and consumer touchpoints
- Own brand positioning, messaging, and storytelling as Flerish scales nationally
- Guide creative direction across campaigns, packaging, retail activations, and digital platforms
- Conduct ongoing market research and trend analysis to keep Flerish culturally relevant and competitively positioned
Social Media & Content
- Oversee social strategy across Instagram, TikTok Shop, and emerging platforms
- Manage and mentor the social and content team, ensuring output reflects brand voice and audience expectations
- Drive community growth, engagement, and audience development
Events & Activations
- Plan and support brand activations, sampling events, trade shows, and retail launches
- Travel as needed to support key brand moments and on-the-ground execution
Team & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Manage marketing team members, interns, agencies, and external partners
- Partner cross-functionally with sales, retail, operations, and creative teams
- Build scalable workflows and systems to support the brand's growth trajectory

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field (MBA a plus)
- Required: CPG industry experience
- 7+ years of marketing experience, preferably in beverage or consumer brands
- 3+ years managing marketing teams or leading senior marketing initiatives
- Proven track record in influencer marketing strategy, including program management and ROI measurement
- Hands-on experience running paid media campaigns (Meta, TikTok, Google, Amazon)
- Experience managing ecommerce platforms (Shopify, Amazon)
- Strong command of digital analytics tools and performance reporting
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience at an early-stage or high-growth startup
- Track record launching or scaling brands in retail environments
- Experience managing athlete or celebrity brand partnerships
- Experiential or event-based marketing experience
