Summary:
We’re expanding our European Client Success team, helping businesses stay compliant with VAT and indirect taxes worldwide. You’ll be the client’s first point of contact — on-boarding, supporting, and guiding them through their compliance journey.
You don’t need to be a tax expert, but industry exposure helps — just confident in communication, service-focused, and ready to learn.
What You’ll Do:
• Build strong client relationships and ensure satisfaction.
• Help clients understand timelines, documentation, and submission processes.
• Collaborate with internal VAT specialists to resolve queries.
• Track account health and identify improvement opportunities.
Requirements:
• 2+ years in Customer Success, Account Management, or B2B support.
• Excellent English (C1+); other EU languages a plus.
• Interest in international business, VAT, or compliance topics.
• Organized, proactive, and client-obsessed.

Job Specification:
Role Summary
We are seeking a Customer Success Associate to join our growing European team supporting clients with their international VAT and indirect tax compliance.
This role focuses on client relationship management, onboarding, and service coordination, ensuring that businesses receive a seamless experience as they navigate complex tax environments.
You don’t need to be a tax expert, industry exposure helps — but you should have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage client interactions confidently in English (and ideally another European language).
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship & Success
• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, maintaining regular communication and ensuring high satisfaction.
• Guide new clients through onboarding, account setup, and initial service delivery.
• Understand client goals and challenges, ensuring the company’s solutions deliver measurable value.
• Track client health metrics (engagement, renewals, satisfaction) and proactively address issues.
Operational Coordination
• Liaise between clients and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
• Monitor service performance against SLAs and deadlines.
• Manage incoming queries, escalate technical or tax-specific matters to senior experts, and ensure prompt resolution.
• Maintain accurate client documentation and status updates in internal systems.
Process & Continuous Improvement
• Identify recurring client issues and collaborate with internal teams to improve processes.
• Contribute to the development of FAQs, support materials, and process documentation.
• Provide feedback from clients to product and service development teams.
Candidate Profile
Essential Skills & Experience
• 2+ years experience in Customer Success, Account Management, Client Services, or B2B Support — ideally in a professional services, SaaS, or financial operations environment.
• Excellent English communication (written and spoken, minimum C1 level).
• Strong interpersonal skills: empathetic, patient, and able to build trust quickly.
• Well-organized, process-driven, and comfortable managing multiple client accounts.
• Proficiency with digital tools (CRM, ticketing platforms, MS Teams, or similar).
Highly Valued
• Awareness of VAT, indirect tax, or international compliance processes.
• Experience working with multinational clients or in shared-service / outsourcing environments.
• Additional European language (Spanish, Portuguese, French, Dutch) advantageous.
• Previous exposure to financial tech, SaaS, or compliance automation platforms.
Education
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Economics, Communications, or a related discipline.
• Additional training in Customer Success, Client Relationship Management, or Business Operations is a plus.
Location
• Based in Portugal (Lisbon or Porto) or Spain (Madrid, Barcelona)
