Civil Design Engineer

Role Description

This is a project based, part-time contract, remote role for a Civil Design Engineer with renewable energy experience, in particular large scale on-ground solar pv farms, on-shore wind farms and substations. You will be working from the comfort of your own home, avoiding commute and have the opportunity to demonstrate your expertise through virtual project and client meetings.

As Civil Design Engineer you will be responsible for technical tasks such as Civil Engineering Design, Site Grading/Cut and Fill Earthworks, Stormwater Management, Land Development, and Roadway Design. Qualifications

• Experience in civil design of renewable energy projects located in Australia, using Australian design standards.
• Responsible, and has good attention to details
• Positive attitude, client focused, with good customer service, and client coordination experience
• Excellent technical and analytical skills
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and check own work
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Experience with industry design softwares 12d, Civil 3d, PV Case, AutoCAD, QGIS, ArcGIS, etc.
• Preferably based in Australia or the Philippines

Solar PV Farms

• Experience with design and drafting of civil works for solar pv farm projects, using industry softwares such as Civil 3d, PV Case, etc.
• Able to develop design iterations to produce optimal pv designs with minimal construction costs including minimizing/eliminating earthworks, pile heights while considering site constraints, project and client requirements.

Substations

• Experience designing civil works for large substations using 12d or Civil 3d, including design of: internal and external access roads, benching, earthworks including balancing cut and fill, storm drainage, oil-water separator, security fencing.

Wind farms

• Experience designing Civil Balance of Plant (BoP) including wind farm access tracks, storm drainage, erosion control and sediment protection, earthworks cut and fill, mass haul diagrams

Salary

Salary depends on experience, you will be rewarded in direct proportion to your contribution, your service.
